I have been busy with little learners. This week is going to be a busy one, with lots of excitement. Tuesday I will be celebrating the 100th day of school with my students with much learning focused on the theme of 100, Wednesday is Valentine's Day, and Thursday I am facilitating a production with my kindergarten students of "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" on stage and in costume. We will be having lots of fun!
We are wrapping up our 7th graders season of Nordic skiing. Yesterday was her last meet. We are so proud of her, what she has accomplished in her trainings and competition and also how she has balanced her athletics with her academics. The boys are waiting their turn for competition and have been supportive and patient, following along, cheering and finding their own fun outdoors at their big sisters meets this year. Next up: Track and Field.
I have been trying to be intentional with self-care. Balancing all of my responsibilities at work and at home can be exhausting. I am working to follow my own advice practicing "Healthy Mama Habits," that I wrote about in the most recent issue of Minnesota Parent Magazine.
I have been trying to get enough sleep, exercise, eat healthy, make time for connection. I was also recently gifted by a dear friend a treatment at our local spa. What a treat!
Tending to my own needs, while getting everything else done that I want, or need to do is an on going challenge. But I am working at it!
Have a great week!
